The Night Dragons

Updated: Aug 13, 2023

I wrote this a while ago, and I love the characters and their development, but I don't know if the writing is the best! Tell me what you think down in the comment section!

Seventeen-year-old Draco stood in the dark streets near the edge of a foggy forest. His breathing was shallow from blood loss because of the knife wound in his stomach, his chocolate brown hair was wet from the drizzle, and his emerald green eyes flared with anger.

A cold hand shoved Draco's shoulder, turning him, causing him to wince. He slowly turned around and looked at the rigid figure. It was the sixteen-year-old teenage girl. Her face was tan and smooth. She had cold sky-blue eyes, and her wavy golden-blond hair hung free. She was dressed in an outfit of ripped jeans and a dark teeshirt with a dragon on it.

"You thought you could escape from Gorica, didn't you?" The girl taunted. Then her face hardened, and her blue eyes narrowed. "Well you were wrong." A muscular eighteen-year-old boy with jet-black hair walked out of the alley, his shoulder bleeding and a knife hanging at his waist. "So we meet again," Gorica growled, his jaw clenching.

Draco glared at Gorica, his green eyes flaring and his fists clenching. "You-you can't do this." Draco was feeling dizzy from the loss of blood and was fighting to stay conscious.

Gorica smirked. "I'll give you a chance. You can join the squad. You'll be one of us. We'll watch your back, and you'll watch ours." Gorica nodded to the attractive girl. "What do you think, Andriana?"

Andriana's eyes narrowed as she scowled at Draco. "It's your choice Gorica."

"I'll test out your little –– squad," Draco returned. He felt his body getting weaker. He put his hand over the wound. If Gorica decides to fight again, he'll definitely win. He must have drugged my food at the café. I should've been able to fight better. Suddenly, Draco realized what this could mean for him. He could foil their plans if he became part of The Night Dragons' squad. The last thing he heard was Gorica laughing his cruel, cold laugh; then everything went black.
